March Staff Member of the Month

This month's staff member of the month is Kyndahl Fife, Collinsville's 7th grade English teacher and the yearbook faculty sponsor. Panther Press Editor-in-Training Hannah Allen sat with Ms. Fife to find out more about her.



HA: How long have you worked for Collinsville High School?

KF: This is my second year at Collinsville, but I have been a teacher for 10 years.


HA: Do you have another job or side hustle?

KF: I own One Love Photography, and I have owned it since 2011. 


HA: What life path would you have taken if you weren’t at Collinsville?

KF: I would have just got my English degree and been in an editor type job, which was my original path.


HA: What has been the most challenging part of your job?

KF: The most challenging part of my job may be managing your own emotions as an adult but also the children’s.


HA: What has been your favorite part of the job?

KF: My relationship with my kids and being able to goof off and have fun. I absolutely adore my kids, and my kids this year have fallen in love with my four year old son who goes to pre-k here.


HA: What is your favorite food?

KF: Pizza


HA: What is your favorite hobby?

KF: Photography, roller skating, reading, and drawing.


HA: What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?

KF: My favorite TV shows are The Office and Little House on The Prairie, and movies are hard but my favorite movie genre is classic films.


HA: What is your favorite type of music?

KF: Bluegrass and Christian music.


HA: What made you want to sponsor the yearbook class?

KF: Well, first Mr. Crawford asked me, and then I love doing pictures and design work.  


HA: If a student wants to get into photography, what should they do first?

KF: Well, first they should see what kind of photography they want to do and see what camera goes with it. Then learn to edit their photos.


HA: If you were stuck on an island what teacher would you want to be with you?

KF: Well, it would be between Mr. Williams or Mrs. Moses. If it were Mrs. Moses and I , we would freak out and scare each other more unlike Mr. Williams who would comfort me and calm me down.


HA: What is a quote that shows your outlook on life?
