The color fun run is a fundraiser event for kindergarten through fifth grade. It was hosted on April 18th at the football field. This event is always a great way to raise money for the elementary school. Contestants run while students who have cups of color throw it at them. This is not harmful in any way, but fun for the participants and spectators of the game. Participants are to wear white while running. Not only did the students get to participate, but teachers and even the principals themselves joined in on the phone. The prize for the class who accumulates the most money is promised an ice cream party for their hard work.

Collinsville appreciates all the donations over the years to help the students get the tools they need to be successful at school. This event is a very fun and helpful fundraiser for the school. Kids who do not get donations are still allowed to participate so no one is left out which is one of the schools main goals. Collinsville tries to make these events fun, appropriate, and safe for the students hosting and participating in them. I have no doubt that the school will continue this so parents feel free to come down to watch your kids participate next year as well.
