Collinsville Panther Network visited Jacksonville State University Communication Department on September 17th. The eleven students that attended and the CPN sponsor, Mrs. Stone was so excited to be able to learn more and bring that knowledge back to Collinsville High School. CPN was able to gain a better understanding of the communications field through programs Adobe Premiere Pro in which they learned more about editing. They also learned about new and improved broadcasting equipment, the art of broadcasting and so much more. Dr. McCullough and Mr. Mikel was excited to meet our students and mentioned that they were already ahead of the game in many aspects, compared to many of the incoming freshmen at Jacksonville State University. This was a huge compliment to Collinsville Panther Network and all the work Mrs. Stone dedicates to the program and her students. The content created through CPN helps keep the community involved and aware of all the wonderful things Collinsville High School has to offer. Many thanks to JSU for collaborating with us for the tour, and imparting a wealth of knowledge onto our Collins Panther Network members. We would also like to thank assistant principal, Mrs. Osborn, for facilitating the bus, and Mrs. Godshall for safely transporting our students on the trip. Panther Network looks forward to collaborating with JSU in the future!
